George V visited Pateley Bridge in 1915 and his Silver Jubilee was celebrated in 1935, the year before his death.
The following photograph was taken by a visitor, Benjamin Thomas Sutcliffe (1908-1979), who was in Pateley Bridge on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee.

Benjamin kept a journal of his travels and the relevant entries are as follows:
Sunday May 5th 1935
"Set out with Ken walked to Bank Top, tram to Bradford, bus to Ilkley. Walked over Middleton Moor to Beamsley Beacon and on to Round Hill (1341ft) Had lunch. Dropped down across Gill Road and over Kex Gill Moor and down to West End where we had tea. Had a look round West End - prettily set church - many derelict houses and factories. Went through Thruscoss and on main road down to High House where we cut off over Flat Moor down to Bewerley and Pateley Bridge. Talked with owner of High House and estate for about 1 hour. Stayed night at Pateley at Talbot Inn."
Mon 6 May 1935 (Silver Jubilee Day)
"Off at 9.15 over Greenhow. Went over Simon's Seat, down Valley of Desolation to Bolton Abbey. Bus all the way home. Could see 11 beacons from back yard. Wrote holiday up."
