In 1816, a new Wesleyan Society was formed with 16 members, meeting in a private house. The Chapel was built in 1876 on land purchased from Roland Buck. The Chapel Committee gave a grant of £15 to allow it to open free of debt. The Chape closed in 1970 and now belongs to the Free Church.
