The cemetary features a marvellous lychgate, carved and errectecd by Robert 'Mouseman' Thompson during the 1940's. The trademark mouse is carved on top of the right hand cruck beam above the entrance to the gate. The dedication on the gate is from Psalm 121, " I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help."
